Irishman's Point in Broadford
I recently put the above photo on the website. I thought this would be an excellent week to announce it because it has an abandoned, Halloween look and feel but I also thought it was just a really cool old-looking house.
I took this at Irishman's Point at Broadford Bay in Scotland.
The house appears abandoned though it did look like someone may have been storing some things there. It looks like one of those homes that had the house above with a barn below.
I also had fun adding the birds that I captured only a few minutes earlier flying over the bay. I took the photos in full daylight so I worked hard to get the dark feeling I wanted.
I was going to make the grass darker but I liked the contrast between the light grass and sky and the darker house. I pictured a bunch of little kids standing in front of the house in full daylight, feeling brave, saying, "I dare you to go in," as the dark house glowered down at them.
Yep - feeling the Halloween vibes of fall!
I had a busy weekend with family in town to celebrate my daughter and son-in-law's wedding. They got married in July 2021 at the courthouse (just the two of them) because of Covid.
We finally got to celebrate - yay! It was such a fun and busy few days.
Now I'm getting back into the swing of everything and realizing how much I have to do over the next few weeks, including running this week's sale.
In case you missed it, I'm running 25%-off all canvas gallery wraps if you use coupon code presale2022 on checkout. The sale ends on October 31st.
Hope you're having a wonderful week and enjoying this great weather (if you're in the ATL)!
Have a great rest of your day and week and see you between the raindrops.
xoxo,
Susan
