Against the Grain
Settling in on the bridge with my tripod on a cool night in Atlanta, I took over 100 shots to capture this one Atlanta cityscape. Full of color and light trails, this one especially caught my eye when I noticed via the light trails that someone had turned their car and driven against traffic on Freedom Parkway, apparently to get back to a missed highway on-ramp! Atlanta drivers are a breed all their own. This classic Atlanta skyline shot would be great for an office or den.
City in the Trees
I took this sunset shot of Atlanta from the rooftop of Ponce City Market. Although the sky was cloudless, the light was beautiful and full of oranges and pinks. Atlanta really is the "City in the Trees!"
Sunset Flight
I took a near-sunset photo of the tracks from the Westside and when I saw it, I envisioned much more. I did this creative edit for a full sunset with birds flying up and away. Someone later told me this spot on the tracks was used in The Walking Dead series as the "Terminus" station. I'll take his word for it!
For Jeanna
I renamed this photo in honor of my friend, Jeanna, who passed away. She loved this photo. I took this in the Line Creek Nature area in Peachtree City, Georgia at sunrise. I couldn't get over the amazing colors in the sky that morning and the way the sun lit up the fall-colored leaves. Nature at her finest!
Purple Mountains Majesty
I took this photo from the highest point in Georgia - Brasstown Bald. It was a spectacular blue-sky day, and though I usually wait for sunrise or sunset to take my photos, I couldn't resist the clouds casting their shadows over the mountains. Great for nature lovers!
Jekyll Island Sunset
Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island in Georgia is fascinating. The driftwood trees are everywhere and they make for an other-worldly scene. I was only there for a couple of days but I managed to get there at sunrise and capture some wonderful beach scenes.
Mystical Magical Sunrise
I got up early for sunrise in Destin. I rarely use filters when I shoot, but for this one, I used an ND x 6 filter so I could slow the shutter speed way down without overexposing the photo. The long exposure gave the water a "silky" look. Do you have a lot of beach lovers in your life? This would make a great gift!
Colorful Sunrise
Sunrise at the beach in Destin rivals any sunset. The colors reflecting off the waves were amazing, and I was so pleased to capture it. This fine-art beach photo is available in several sizes and mediums. Don't see what you're looking for? Feel free to contact me.
Please Don't Feed the Birds
This lovely seagull stood stock still for one moment - just long enough for me to capture a shot against the amazing cloudscape of a sunny Destin, Florida day. If you have a beach house or a house decorated with a beach theme, this would be a fun addition to the decor..
