"Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving." Ansel Adams
A view of the City of Atlanta at Blue Hour taken from inside the historic Oakland Cemetery where Margaret Mitchell - author of Gone with the Wind - is buried.
With the foreground statue of the angel pointing to the sky, the words "liberty or death," kept going through my mind.
Is it weird? I love strolling through the cemetery and taking photographs. But, I especially enjoy being there after dark when the lights of the city come on. The cemetery at night with the city backdrop puts me in a philosophical state of mind. I like to remind myself of my inevitable demise, it makes living all the sweeter. And it's an adventure getting locked in the cemetery after dark (they close at dusk, so this photo required a little adventure).
